              Relationships and Dating

Mawwaige! Mawwaige is wat bwings us togevva today.

So these last few weeks after LDS General Conference all of the Return missionaries have marriage on the brain. The President of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, Thomas S. Monson, quoted the late Prophet, President Hinkley, when he said to the men of the church "My heart reaches out to our single sisters, who long for marriage and cannot seem to find it... I have less sympathy for the young men, who under the customs of our society, have the prerogative to take the initiative in these matters but in so many cases fail to do so."  President Monson was very adament to the single men of the church about the need and importance of marriage.

Within the two weeks after conference, three of my best friends had rings on their fingers, and three more discussing with their boyfriends the possibilities of marriage. It's crazy stuff, the impact a Prophet of God can have on the men and women of the world and Church. Weddings and relationships are main topics in almost every discussion I've had for the last two weeks. Its crazy to see these young beautiful women who ive known for years planning to spend time and all eternity with these fantastic men. I'm so happy for Kayla, Kaytlen, Kate, and all you other great friends of mine who are getting married. I love you, and I'm so proud of the righteous decisions you're making.

I recently went ring shopping with a great guy I know, and it was probably one of the funnest things i have ever done,  no lie.  It was the greatest feeling,  i left feeling all Giddy inside, still feeling like i was actually getting married and then he had to remind me that it was just pretend....   sad day.  i was really excited for it all, and trying those rings on just made it seem all the more real. I am so ready to be married and start a family... now to find the man that can handle me, that I would love enough to spend the rest of forever with.... haha.
Now on a less serious note, let me tell you about the greatest and worst internet site i have ever found. likealittle.com is borderline more addictive than facebook. on LAL, for short, you can select the college campus you are on and send little anonymous flirts about people you see around campus. It also has a Chat window to talk to other people from campus that are online too.  A typical flirt post would say something like this "Brunette guy liked at the student center. I saw you today on your way to lunch,  you were wearing a grey hoodie, with blue shoes and a killer smile,  talk to me sometime,  youre super cute and id like to get to know you"  then people can comment on the post to try to figure out who the author was talking about. when you comment, you are given a random fruit name, to protect your identity, that changes for every post you comment on. youre also given a fruit name for the chat window. and there you can decide if you want to give away your real name. I recently found that the Red head that lives in certain dorms (me) has a secret admirer on this site.  its kinda fun to see if you are ever posted about. it makes me laugh because some people are really creepy, and say weird things haha. One day i was chatting with a guy named mango, and we started flirting a little and we found that we had a lot in common. we exchanged names and found each other on facebook. I thought he was way cute and wanted to meet him.  Knowing his love for music, I realized there was a very good possibility he would be at a concert held at our student center later that week, so I decided i would go.  i went and we met, and i really liked him, i though he was way cool, and really nice and cute.  We exchanged numbers that night and made plans to hang out in the future.   a couple days later i invited him to hang out with me and my roommates at our apartment.  we watched a movie and talked and just had a good time, after everyone left, we continued talking and he kissed me!  i was super happy because I was really into him. We were together until 6am the next morning and then he left, because we had classes that day, and needed to get at least a little bit. we continued to talk and i soon realized that he was starting to lose interest. I then found out from one of my friends who had spoke to him, that I was nothing more than a "booty call" for him and he actually had no interest in me at all....   UGH i felt so stupid!!!  still do actually. But thats what i get for meeting a guy online.....   I soon realized that i had great guys surrounding me and didnt need to waste my time with jerks, or waste my time on a flirting site, when i had everyone i needed already around me.  LAL is still a lot of fun, but im not using it to meet people ever again.
              Dating is an adventure:)
